ST. PETERSBURG, FL – Kahwa Coffee Roasters and the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance (SPAA) have partnered together to launch a unique and exciting project benefiting the new St. Petersburg Arts Endowment (SPAE). The collaboration led to art-wrapped coffee canisters that will be sold at every Kahwa café beginning November 8th, 2022 and available for pre-order starting November 2nd, 2022.
These canisters are extraordinary since they will all be wrapped with local art, beginning with Chad Mize, a St. Pete favorite. Chad Mize is a multimedia artist, designer, and muralist residing in St. Petersburg, FL. With a love for past and contemporary culture, he takes a humorous, tongue-in-cheek approach to his designs, which include playful doodles, colorful patterns, political art, and graphics. Mize’s work is held in numerous private and corporate collections nationally and internationally. The cannisters will be loaded with Kahwa’s signature Sirocco house blend, available whole bean, or ground.

The net proceeds of the artist coffee canister sales will benefit the new St. Petersburg Arts Endowment (SPAE). The SPAE was created by the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance which is the umbrella organization serving the vital arts and cultural community. The SPAE was created to:
- Fund grants that address current needs of artists and arts organizations
- Supports the development of resources for the future
- Builds a foundation for the arts community growth
The artist coffee canisters are reusable and Kahwa Coffee will be offering a refill program. Individuals are able to bring their artist coffee canister to any Kahwa location and refill for only $10! The net proceeds from refills will be used to support the SPAE.
