Kahwa Coffee is committed to digital inclusion. We want everyone to be able to browse, learn about our coffee and cafes, and shop at kahwacoffee.com, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnification, speech input, or other assistive technology.

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). We also test against WCAG 2.2 Level AA, which includes every WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirement and adds several more.

What we have done

Our most recent accessibility review was completed on October 14, 2026. Every public page on the site was tested with automated tools at both desktop and mobile widths, and the main shopping paths were tested by hand using a keyboard, the NVDA screen reader on Windows, and VoiceOver on iPhone.

That work produced changes including:

  • Color contrast corrected on text and controls
  • A skip-to-content link and a visible keyboard focus indicator on every control
  • A cart that can be opened, used and closed by keyboard, and that announces items added to it
  • Corrected heading structure and labeled navigation
  • A fully labeled careers application form
  • Titles on embedded video players
  • Touch targets of at least 24 by 24 pixels
  • Pause controls for moving and auto-advancing content
  • Layouts that adapt to small screens and zoom without sideways scrolling

Third-party content

Some features on our site are provided by outside companies, including product reviews, email signup, subscriptions, cafe order-ahead, and checkout. We test these on our pages and correct issues where we can, but we do not control their code. If one of them blocks you, contact us and we will help you complete your order or request another way.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is part of how we maintain this site. Changes are tested for accessibility before they go live, and we review the site again as we add new pages and features.
