OUR IMPACT
Good coffee should do some good.
Since we opened in St. Petersburg in 2006, giving back has been part of how Kahwa operates. We donate time, product, and sponsorship to hundreds of Tampa Bay events and organizations every year — and we built a coffee whose whole purpose is to fund a cure.

HOPE ROAST
A coffee made to fund a cure.
We created Hope Roast with the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation, a 501(c)(3) dedicated to eliminating childhood cancer. It was the first coffee ever included in the Foundation’s national Brewing Funds the Cure initiative.
43% of the net proceeds from every Hope Roast purchase goes to the Foundation. The number is deliberate: 43 children are diagnosed with cancer every day in the United States. That’s 43 too many.
Hope Roast is a dark, Cuban-style roast with a hint of chocolate, a smooth body, and low acidity. It’s available in bags, single-serve cups, gift sets, and in bulk for offices.
Feeding our neighbors
On National Coffee Day, instead of running the usual discounts, we gave away the day. One hundred percent of proceeds from every coffee and tea drink sold at every Kahwa cafe went to three local hunger charities — more than $10,000, split by the county each cafe serves.

Family dinner nights, mobile cooking classes, and roughly 300 meals a month for local children.

IN OUR CAFES
Our walls belong to local artists.
Our cafes double as galleries. Each month a different local artist takes over the walls, and every dollar from a sale goes directly to the artist — Kahwa takes nothing. For some, it has been their first solo show.
The same spirit runs through our Artist Canister Series, where Tampa Bay artists design the tins our coffee comes in.
