Cubano Blend 2 lb

100% Arabica Roasted to Order Small Batch

Imagine strolling down El Maelcon, in Cuba, smelling the soft, warm Caribbean air mix with the intoxicating smell of freshly roasted Cuban coffee being served up streetside. Bring this delicious blend into your home and enjoy this perfectly crafted roast.

A traditional Cuban Blend best served as an espresso or café con leche. A darker roast that is strong and robust with a sweet finish. Anyone who loves Cuban roasts will love the flavor of this blend but with a freshness factor hard to find in traditional Cuban brands.

Our bold, darker Cubano Blend delivers a robust cup with a sweet finish—made for espresso or café con leche.

  • Darker roast; strong & sweet with classic Cuban character
  • Great for espresso; also delicious as drip
  • Available whole bean or ground to order
  • Small batch roasted in Tampa Bay, Florida.
  • Premium coffee
  • Ships fast from Florida
  • Award winning
  • Smooth and balanced

*Please note as a darker roast these beans are oily and are NOT recommended for home espresso machines with a built in grinder. For those we recommend our Mistral Espresso Blend for an amazing flavor and lighter roast.

Disappointed with freshness

I first bought Kahwa from Amazon. It’s a little cheaper than from Kahwa directly. I spoke to Kahwa about it and they assured me the coffee I’d buy straight from them would be fresher. So I signed up for subscription. The coffee has been no fresher than from Amazon. Same pressure. Same draw times. Same grind level. Both way more fresh than the grocer or Starbucks, but both the same level of fresh and Amazon is cheaper. If the next kilo isn’t fresher I’m cancelling my subscription. It’s a shame. The coffee’s good.

Cubano Espresso Blend is My Absolute Favorite

Kahwa ROCKS! And, their Cubano Espresso Blend is dark, smooth and delicious. It is my GO TO coffee. I have HIT and MCAS and I can drink it without any issues! You have to order it online because, unfortunately, it is not available in the stores, but it is worth it!

Excellent

This is my new favorite dark roasted coffee by a long shot. Superb flavor & delivered while still fresh. No bitterness! Highly recommend.

Coffee Details

Everything about this blend — how it tastes, where it comes from, and how to brew it.

Origin Story

Our blends are built from 100% premium Arabica sourced across multiple origins, mostly in Central and South America, through long-term relationships with farms that grow to our standards. Beans are picked and sorted by hand, then blended and roasted in small batches at our own facility in St. Petersburg, Florida.

We focus on blends rather than single origins — finding the right balance of sweetness, acidity, body and bitterness is where the craft lives, and it lets each origin show its most distinct character.

How to Brew

Espresso — 18g in, 36g out, 25–30 seconds. Pour Over — 1:16 ratio, 200°F water, 3:00 total. Cold Brew — 1:8 ratio, steep 16 hours, serve over ice.

Our Roasting

Nothing sits on a shelf waiting for an order. Every batch is roasted to order and packaged on demand, and we hold at most a week of stock at any time. Beans then rest 24 to 72 hours before they ship — coffee tastes better a couple of days off the roaster than it does straight out of it.

We roast roughly 7,000 pounds a week at our St. Petersburg facility, and every profile is modulated to develop sweetness and body while preserving the character of the origin.
