Not Columbian

I purchased this whole bean in store. When I brought it home, upon opening to grind my first cup, I was shocked to find oily dark roasted beans definitely not of Columbian origin as well as not roasted to the medium profile that is listed on this page. I took the beans back to the location that I purchased from, they "weighed out a new bag" from a sealed bag from the back, and I was on my way. As I sip my first cup, I am still not convinced that these are truly from Tolima, Columbia. The coffee has no flavor and is not the quality that I expect from this region.

Organic Colombian: A Great Choice for a Daily Brew

Organic Colombian offers a bright, vibrant cup with a rich body and complex sweetness, complemented by a diverse aroma profile and low bitterness. I drink my coffee black, and this is a good choice for a regular morning brew.

Love this organic Colombian, single origin. I am very picky when it comes to beans, roast level, freshness. Kahwa hits the 5 star mark!! I wish this was also sold in their stores and not just online. I order 2/2packs every 4 weeks but sometimes run a couple of days short if I'm serving more than 1 pot/ day.

Excellent Blend, quick service!

Organic colombian is Kahwas best blend. I admit, I am a coffee snob, I actually visit Bogota several times a year and bring back coffee and chocolate! However, I've found the flavor and freshness of Kahwas organic Colombian to be as good as my Bogota, Colombia coffee purchases. The ordering process is fast and easy with shipping in just a couple of days. Very impressive!

Coffee Details

Everything about this blend — how it tastes, where it comes from, and how to brew it.

Origin Story

Our blends are built from 100% premium Arabica sourced across multiple origins, mostly in Central and South America, through long-term relationships with farms that grow to our standards. Beans are picked and sorted by hand, then blended and roasted in small batches at our own facility in St. Petersburg, Florida.

We focus on blends rather than single origins — finding the right balance of sweetness, acidity, body and bitterness is where the craft lives, and it lets each origin show its most distinct character.

How to Brew

Espresso — 18g in, 36g out, 25–30 seconds. Pour Over — 1:16 ratio, 200°F water, 3:00 total. Cold Brew — 1:8 ratio, steep 16 hours, serve over ice.

Our Roasting

Nothing sits on a shelf waiting for an order. Every batch is roasted to order and packaged on demand, and we hold at most a week of stock at any time. Beans then rest 24 to 72 hours before they ship — coffee tastes better a couple of days off the roaster than it does straight out of it.

We roast roughly 7,000 pounds a week at our St. Petersburg facility, and every profile is modulated to develop sweetness and body while preserving the character of the origin.
