OUR IMPACT
Good coffee should do some good.
Since we opened in St. Petersburg in 2006, giving back has been part of how Kahwa operates. We donate time, product, and sponsorship to hundreds of Tampa Bay events and organizations every year.
For National Coffee Day, September 29, 2026, we will donate a portion of all coffee sales, online and in store, to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation through Brewing Funds the Cure. Each purchase helps fund research focused on developing safer, more effective treatments for children with cancer. And if you start a subscription on our website that day, we’ll donate a portion of every order we ship you to NPCF.

Communities Working Together
We are starting a fundraising program for local schools and organizations. We believe working together to support each other is how our whole community succeeds.
Feeding our neighbors
On National Coffee Day, instead of running the usual discounts, we gave away the day. One hundred percent of proceeds from every coffee and tea drink sold at every Kahwa cafe went to three local hunger charities — more than $10,000, split by the county each cafe serves.
Blessings in a Backpack
Pinellas County
Sends children home with a backpack of food for 38 weekends of the school year.
Where Love Grows
Hillsborough County
Family dinner nights, mobile cooking classes, and roughly 300 meals a month for local children.
All Faiths Food Bank
Sarasota County
The county’s only food bank, serving children, families, seniors, and veterans.
IN OUR CAFES
Our walls belong to local artists.
Our cafes double as galleries. Each month a different local artist takes over the walls, and every dollar from a sale goes directly to the artist — Kahwa takes nothing. For some, it has been their first solo show.
The same spirit runs through our Artist Canister Series, where Tampa Bay artists design the tins our coffee comes in.
