“We are so excited to be joining the USF campus with students and staff” says Raphael and Sarah Perrier, founders and owners of Kahwa Coffee Roasters “We love being a part of the community and are looking forward to seeing all we can do with the university.”
Kahwa opened the coffee shop’s doors on Wednesday and had a full house! Students were starting to move onto campus and all staff was on campus and physically present for an in-person meeting. This is the first school year that the campus will be at full capacity since the pandemic, and this is the largest number students the USF St. Pete campus has ever housed, with over 900 students taking advantage of on campus housing.
Kahwa Coffee was invited to open a coffee shop on campus through the new USF dining initiative ‘727 Eats’ which features local establishments on campus for students to enjoy. And so far, students are loving having a locally owned and operated coffee brand on campus. Kahwa is offering a full menu including breakfast sandwiches, iced coffee, lattes, and even new menu items like cake pops, crispy treats, and Kahwa Fizz!
The coffee shop on the USF St. Pete campus is just the start for Kahwa. “There are many plans in the works with the University of South Florida and we are excited for what’s to come!” from the Perrier’s. Kahwa is proud to be represented on USF campus and bull pride runs strong throughout the company as many employees are alum of the university.
